ASA’s earns ISO 9001 certificate

Becomes only Asian company in its sector with worldwide ISO quality management accreditation


Hong Kong, August 9 2010. The ASA Group, a leading Asian private aviation and security services company has been ISO 9001:2008 certified, making it one of the few companies in its sector to achieve the internationally recognised quality standard. An ISO 9001 is only awarded for the highest levels of safety and service.


The ISO certification follows an independent audit and registration by the Anglo Japanese American Registrars.  William Christie, CEO of Expert Solutions Group said: “This international certification of quality and customer service is a formal recognition of the commitment to quality and superior customer service ASA has demonstrated for the last 10 years.”


Simon Wagstaff, CEO said: “As far as I know we are the only company in the world that provides our particular set of services to be ISO certified. We want to ensure that everything we offer is of the highest quality possible.”


ASA’s specialised travel services include: Fixed base operations, permits, airside and landside services; executive, travel and facilities security, and other security related services. It also offers luxury travel and concierge services, as well as visa, VIP meet and greet, custom tours and aircraft, marine and ground transportation.


ISO is a globally accepted standard that measures continuing quality, efficiency and customer service. It requires companies to establish a quality management system (QMS) that is customer focused and process-based, enabling easy learning and auditing.


Wagstaff added: “I am delighted that we have received the ISO 9001 award. The whole point of becoming ISO-certified is to meet our customers’ needs and enhance their satisfaction with the service we are providing.”


In order to maintain and develop the strong QMS system the company has established, ASA has appointed an internal QMS manager to monitor and maintain the ISO systems in place. Wagstaff said: “I have been involved in the project from the outset and am pleased to report the entire team is fully engaged and determined to raise ASA’s standards constantly.”


The certificate is yet another mark of success for the ASA Group, which has offices throughout the region and in the UAE, UK and US. The company also publishes an award-winning magazine and is the Asian franchise holder for the Luxury Network, a high end affinity marketing group.
